The School of Software is dedicated to nurturing talented professionals in the IT/SW (Information Technology/Software) field who will lead the future intelligent society. It operates two specialized tracks—Artificial Intelligence and Software—serving as a hub for cultivating software experts.

1Training Talent for the Intelligent Software Industr
The demand for software professionals is increasing at an average annual rate of 9.4%, and it is projected that there will be a shortage of over 50,000 software professionals each year. In particular, as society and industry in Korea become more intelligent, diverse, and advanced, there is a continuous need for professionals with strong expertise in IT/SW. It is especially important to cultivate talent with software capabilities in areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, information security, big data, mobile communications, and smart factories.

2IT/SW Education for the Future Society
The School of Computer Science aims to produce creative, practice-oriented software professionals who will lead the advanced digital information industry, as well as well-rounded individuals with strong problem-solving abilities suited for a high-tech industrial society.
To achieve this, the school actively responds to social and industrial demands through systematic, full-cycle curriculum management. It enhances students’ software competencies through a variety of programs, including theoretical and practical education, field training, project-based learning, and international collaborative programs. -
3Advanced Study in Artificial Intelligence and Software Fields
In response to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the era of digital transformation, the School of Computer Science offers advanced, specialized study starting from the third year, divided into Artificial Intelligence and Software tracks.
The Artificial Intelligence track focuses on foundational concepts of AI, along with both theoretical and practical aspects of machine learning.
The Software track develops expertise in areas such as big data, cloud computing, communications and security, and embedded software. -
4Broad Career Opportunities
Software-related careers exist across all types of organizations, including government agencies, public institutions, and private companies. Graduates can pursue careers in major corporations such as Samsung Electronics, Samsung SDS, LG Electronics, LG CNS, SK Telecom, and IBM, as well as mid-sized companies like NHN, Daum, NCSoft, and Mando.
Career paths also include banking and financial IT departments, software consulting, IT education, and government-funded research institutes. Additionally, graduates may start their own businesses to create new ventures.
Students can obtain national certifications such as Engineer Information Processing, Industrial Engineer Information Processing, Engineer Computer, Industrial Engineer Computer, and E-Commerce Manager. Private certifications such as Information Retrieval Specialist, Webmaster, and Network Administrator are also available, enabling freelance career opportunities.
